GB legislators condemn USA for Balochistan hearing

Gilgit, February 21: Gilgit Baltistan Assembly Tuesday passed a unanimous resolution against US congress committee’s hearing on Balochistan situation.
The resolution was tabled by Law Minister Wazir Shakeel condemning American’s intervention in the internal affairs of Pakistan.
The resolution maintained that “such discussion is not only harmful for bilateral ties but it is also violation of international rules”.
“The whole nation is united to save the integrity and sovereignty of the country we will not allow any one to inrerfere in our internal matters and federal government should demonstrate zero tolerance against US intervention”, the resolution said.
During discussion on the resolution Razi ud Din Rizvi, Maulana Sarwar Shah and Deedar Ali said that non muslims could not be friends of Muslims. They urged Pakistan to consider a complete reversal of its policy towards USA. MLA Deedar Ali demanded rights for the people of Gilgit – Baltistan, to avoid Balochistan like situation.
NATO supply should remain blocked, they demanded of the central government.
Anti state elements also trying to create Balochistan like situation in Gilgit Baltistan and constitutional should be given to the people of the region to avoid such a situation they urged the federal government, legislator said, while speaking on the topic.
