NADRA: Add Kalasha as a separate religion on CNIC and Passport, Kalash valley residents demand

PT Report

Chitral, March 6: National Data Registration Authority (NADRA) has, apparently, missed registration of the people of Kalash Valley as followers of a separate religion and cultural heritage. According to residents of the Kalash valley they are facing difficulties because Kalasha has not been listed as a religion on the Computerized National Identity Card and the Passport of Pakistan.

The residents of Kalash have demanded of NADRA to take necessary measures to ensure correction of the database and add to preservation of Pakistan’s rich cultural and religious diversity.

Residents of the Kalash valley have also started an online campaign to gather support for their cause make their voices heard.
