Gilgit: Protesters present dossier to UN Military Observer Group officials

Gilgit, August 20: Hundreds of Shia protesters gathered in front of United Nation’s Military Observation Group’s regional office in Gilgit, to registers their condemnation of the targeted killings of passengers in Kohistan, Chilas and Naran Valley. The protesters were carrying banners and placards inscribed with slogans against terrorism and terrorists groups. Slogans were also raised against the Taliban and Al-Qaeeda.

A delegation of the protesters presented a dossier containing reports about the targeted attacks and the plight of the region’s people. The protesters also demanded securing of the KKH by deployment of NLI and action against terrorists who have been targeting passengers during this year. They also demanded military action in the troubled areas.

The speakers urged people from all walks of life to join the protests against terrorism.

  2. the protesters did well job as the pakistan state acters seem involved in these attack, there continuos ignorance show the cooperation of state agncies with extremist group otherwise there shoul be prompt action against these groups , babu sir incident is the third one of its kind attack on innocent perssengers from GB for last 6 months now people are really point fingers on the role of goverment and secret agencies of pakistan, it seems pakistani esteblishemnt is only intretsed in the geographiy of GB not its inhabitans,
