KKH: Security enhanced in view of fresh terrorism threats

Gilgit, October 18: The Gilgit-Baltistan government has enhanced security along the Karakoram Highway (KKH), responding to a fresh terror alert shred by the Interior Ministry.

According to reports, the Interior Ministry has issued a new circular warning the GB government about possibility of fresh terrorist attacks similar to the Kohistan, Chilas and Naran carnage. Private passenger buses are, reportedly, the potential targets.

A group of terrorists has also been arrested two days back while they were reportedly chasing passenger buses in a private car. They, allegedly, wanted to attack passengers.
