GB Governor and Chief Minister express gratitude over peaceful Ashura

Islamabad: Governor Pir Syed Karam Ali Shah and Chief Minister Gilgit Baltistan Syed Mehdi Shah have expressed their gratitude over the peaceful culmination of Ashura procession in Gilgit-Baltistan.

In separate statements, the two leaders have lauded the role of members Masajid boards Gilgit and Ulema for their cooperation with the government.

Both the leaders praised excellent security arrangement made by Gilgit Baltistan administration‚ Chief Secretary‚ IGP‚ Police‚ Gilgit-Baltistan Scouts and the Rangers.

They hoped that with the passage of time people of Gilgit-Baltistan will uproot sectarianism and work together against terrorism and other menaces.
