“Not paid for 12 months”, PTDC employees go on strike in Gilgit

Gilgit: Employees of the Pakistan Tourism Development Corporation (PTDC) have been protesting in Gilgit city for the last three days. They are demanding payment of salaries, which, they say, has not been given to them for almost one year.

The employees, holding placards, raised slogans against the MD and demanded his resignation. Calling him a “corrupt” person they accused him of hiring people illegally he had created financial burden on the organization, depriving the employees of their due rights.
