Federal Urdu University decides to offer courses in Shina, Balti and Khowar

Karachi: The Federal Urdu University of Arts, Science and Technology (FUUAST) has decided to teach three major languages of Gilgit-Baltistan and Chitral, i.e. Shina, Balti and Khowar (also known as Chitrali). This historical decision will pave way for advancement of these languages and it will also help flourish the cultures of Gilgit-Baltistan and Chitral.

The decision was taken at a meeting held in Karachi under the leadership of the university’s Vice-Chancellor, Professor Dr. Zafar Iqbal. The university also decided to launch three new faculties.
