Nawaz Sharif vows to extend Neelum Valley road to Gilgit-Baltistan

Islamabad, December 4: Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif has said that road projects started in his previous tenure, including the Taobut – Sharda road in Neelum Valley, will be further extended to the Gilgit-Baltistan region. He has hoped that the road extension will enable better transportation services in the region.

He made the statement today while addressing the Azad Kashmir Council today. The budget of the AJK Council was also approved during the meeting, attended by the President and Prime Minister of AJK, along with Federal Minister Barjees Tahir.

It is pertinent to note the Neelum Valley is adjacent to the Astore District of Gilgit-Baltistan, which is already connected to rest of GB through a road network.
