Islamabad: AWP to hold protest demonstration in solidarity with Awami Action Committee

Islamabad: Awami Workers Party Islamabad AWP Rawalpindi/Islamabad is planing to hold a protest demonstration on 22 April (Tuesday) at 4 pm outside the National Press Club Islamabad, in solidarity with the Awami Action Committee Gilgit-Baltistan strike against removal of wheat subsidy in GB, non-payment of salaries and other economic issues.

The protest will be addressed by Dr. Asim Sajjad, Dr. Farzana Bari, Alia Amirali, Agha Abdul Sattar, Advocate Nisar Shah, Shabbir Mayar and Izhar Hunzai, among others.

The protesters will march from the National Press Club to Mr. Books. They plan to stage a sit-in on the road and listen to the AWP leaders and activists from the Gilgt-Baltistan region.
