Rising Temperature: Glaciers start melting after chilly cold winter in Gojal Valley

Many glacial lake outburst floods (GLOFs) have occurred at this site, located between Ghulkin and Hussaini village 

Gulmit, April 28: With the rise in temperature and the resultant melting of ice, the glacial streams int he Gojal Valley have been flooded. In these photographs captured by our correspondent Ali Ahmad, some locals can be seen crossing the glacial stream while vehicles are also stranded.
