Sub-committee on Gilgit-Baltistan to be formed at Senate: Afrasiab Khattak

Gilgit, April 28: The Senate Committee on Human Rights will soon form a special sub-committee focused on Gilgit-Baltistan and monitor the human rights and other issues in the region.

This was stated by Chairman of the Senate Standing Committee on Human Rights during a meeting today in Gilgit. He is visiting the region along with members of the Human Rights committee to analyze the situation on ground. He is accompanied by senior Senators like Farhatullah Babar, Mushahid Hussain Syed, Nasreen Jalil, among others.

The Senators were also briefed about the various departments of the government in Gilgit-Baltistan.
