Youth from Gilgit gunned down in Malir, Karachi

Islamabad: A young man of Gilgiti origin was gunned down in the Kala Board locality of Malir on Sunday, said a Saudabad police official.

SHO Ghanwar Ali Mehar said 20-year-old Shahadat Hussain, who hailed from Gilgit-Baltistan, had come to Karachi for studies and was residing in the Bagh-e-Alfalah locality.

Hussain was in the Kala Board area on Sunday night when two men on a motorcycle opened fire on him and escaped.

He was taken to the Jinnah hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries during treatment. He had suffered multiple bullet wounds to the upper torso.
