Colorful Cultural Revival Festival comes to an end in Hoper Valley, Nagar

Hoper, August 21: The people of Hoper Valley, Nagar, and neighboring valleys came in large numbers to attend the concluding ceremony of the weeklong Nagar Cultural Revival Festival.
Also present in the concluding ceremony was Chief Minister Gilgit-Baltistan, Syed Mehdi Shah, and Commander of the FCNA, Maj. Gen Asim Munir, along with other legislators, local notables and government officials.

Speaking during the concluding ceremony, the Chief Minister announced that a museum will be built in Hoper Valley. He also announced promised to look in the possibility of launching a number of projects for the uplift of quality of life of the region’s populace.

Maj. General Asim Munir told the people to educate their children and select their leaders based on their performance. He urged the people to not vote for those who do not use the funds for their development.

The festival had been organized by the local community on self-help basis. It was the biggest cultural event of the region, after almost 3 decades.
