Gilgit: Chief Secretary suspends three PWD officials

Gilgit, September 16: Three officials of Water and Power Department, Executive Engineer Karim Khan, Assistant Executive Engineer Kashif Suhail and Sub-Engineer Muhammad Aqeel have been suspended by the Chief Secretary of Gilgit-Baltistan, according to information shared by official sources.

According to details, the officials were suspended for making illegal payments and for causing undue delays in completion of a 3 Megawatt power project in Sai Jaglote area of District Gilgit.

The Chief Secretary, reportedly, has also recommended suspension of SE Karim Khan in a letter sent to the Chief Minister.

These officers have also been found guilty of paying contractors more more money than the cost of the project and for causing delays in completion of the important power project.
