According to details, the incident took place in Nagaral village, located in Upper Naltar. The attackers were, allegedly, residents of Lower Naltar. The injured PAF personnel have been identified as Group Captain Waqas Butt, Warrant Officer Rafaqat and Muhammad Abbas. The injured were shifted to the Combined Military Hospital (CMH), where they are reportedly out of danger.

According to sources, the PAF personnel were attacked while they were busy in installation of the Chairlift.

A land dispute between the locals and the PAF is being reported as the immediate cause of the clash.

Meanwhile, SP Zia Ali has informed the media that police force has been sent to Naltar Valley to arrest the people involved in the attack.

It is pertinent to note that Naltar is a globally renowned skiing resort. The valley is also being used by the locals as pasture and for farming purpose.

Currently, a chairlift is being installed in the valley as part of the efforts to promote it as an even more popular tourist destination.
