PRCS held 7th Annual Provincial Youth & Volunteers Camp at Hoper, Nagar
Nagar, September 22: (PR) Pakistan Red Crescent Society (PRCS) Gilgit-Baltistan Provincial Branch has organized its 7th Annual Provincial Youth & Volunteers Camp at village Hoper Nagar of Hunza-Nagar district in which around 50 male volunteers from all seven districts of GB have participated. Participants of the Youth Camp have been taught about the history of the global Red Cross & Red Crescent Movement, the seven fundamental principles, history of PRCS, Volunteering in Emergencies, First Aid, Disaster Management and Response and many other youth development related topics. While special focus was given on “Promotion of Social Inclusion, Safe Livings and Building of Culture of Non-Violence & Peace by using special modules of Youth as Agent of Behavioral Change.
Speaking at the closing ceremony of the five days long camp PRCS GB Assistant Director Youth & Volunteers department Wajid Ali urged the youth of various regions of Gilgit-Baltistan to utilize their leadership skills and hidden potentialities for promotion of peace and harmony among the young generations what they have learnt from this camp. He said that the new leadership of PRCS at national and regional levels has also a vision to have maximum registered volunteers to deal with disasters and other emergencies effectively.
