Chehlum: Hunza-Nagar district declared sensitive

Gilgit, December 11: The Home Department of Gilgit-Baltistan has declared Hunza-Nagar district as sensitive for the occasion of Imam Hussain’s Chehlum and decided to deploy police personnel, army and paramilitary forces to control law and order.

The district administration of Hunza-Nagar has chalked out a comprehensive plan and imposed 144 to avoid any trouble. Deputy Commissioner Hunza-Nagar Imran Ali Sultan, under section 144 Cr.PC, has imposed ban on pillion ridding. Moreover, apart from the Chehlum procession, congregation of five or more than five persons has also been outlawed. The district administration officials decided to take action against those who violate the law.
