Committee decides to expedite land acquisition for Diamer-Bhasha Dam

Islamabad: Ministerial Committee on Diamer Bhasha Dam has decided to expedite the process for acquisition of land for the reservoir and make payments to the affected people in a transparent manner.

Its meeting held in Islamabad today was chaired by Minister for Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit-Baltistan Ch. Barjees Tahir.

Briefing the meeting, Chief Secretary GB said that a fool proof system has been evolved with the cooperation of NADRA and SUPARCO for acquisition of land transparently.

The Ministerial Committee also reviewed progress on construction of a hospital and a cadet college in the area.
