Seasonal Gilgit-Baltistan Police outposts to be equipped with drone cameras, comms sets

Gilgit: The Gilgit-Baltistan Police plans to equip its seasonal outposts with latest drone cameras and high frequency communication sets, as part of its efforts to keep the region safe.

This was stated by Gilgit-Baltistan’s Police Chief, IG Sabir Ahmad, while addressing a group of senior police officials here in Gilgit.

He instructed the police officials to keep vigil over the entry and exit points of Gilgit-Baltistan to ensure that unscrupulous elements are kept out of the region.

The GB police is taking special measures to ensure protection of Chinese and other foreigners in the region.

Seasonal outposts are established in remote valleys of Diamer, Ghizer and Gilgit during the spring and summers, when the snow melts and the passes open.
