700 strong “Special Protection Unit” being established to thwart anti-CPEC conspiracies

Gilgit: Enemies are plotting against the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor. The conspiracies will be thwarted through impeccable security arrangements.

This was stated by Gilgit-Baltistan’s Home Secretary, Bilal Memon, while talking to journalist two days back in Gilgit. He said that a special protection unit has been approved by the federal government to provide security to the CPEC route in Giglit-Baltistan.

“700 personnel will be inducted in the Special Protection Unit”, said Memon, adding that establishment of the unit would cost the national exchequer slightly higher than 2.7 billion rupees.
