Monitoring Desk
Gilgit: Acting on a tip-off, law enforcement agencies on Saturday raided the house of a ‘scrape seller’ in Skardu city, recovering a huge cache of explosives, shells of mortar and shells of rocket launchers.
The raid was conducted on Saturday night in the Bhutto Bazar area of Skardu, where an explosion at a scrape shop had created panic last week, spreading fear among the residents.
Regional Urdu daily, K2, has reported that the explosives and other items were recovered from the house of Nasir Khan, a resident of Mohmand Agency (FATA), who was operating a scrape shop in the area.
Police has arrested the scrape seller and shifted him to an undisclosed location for interrogation.
Cases have also been registered against other five suspects.
