Prime Minster to address joint session of GB Council and GBLA, as opposition mounts protest

Gilgit: Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi is expected to address a joint session of the Gilgit-Baltistan Council and the Gilgit-Baltistan Legislative Assembly on 27th of May.

According to an announcement sent to the legislators, the joint session will be held in the GBLA hall located in Chinar Bagh, at 10 A.M on the 27th of May, 2018.

The Prime Minister is expected to address the joint session and discuss the recently approved reforms package, which has been rejected by the opposition parties, because it gives absolute authority to the Prime Minister on various matters.

It is pertinent to note that an alliance of the opposition is expected to start an agitation against the reforms package from the 25th of May.
