ISLAMABAD: Farzana Rehmat, a 15-year-old athlete from Chipusan Valley, Gojal, District Hunza, has won two Gold Medals in the Special Olympics competition underway in Abu Dhabi.
Farzana won Gold in Shot Put competitions. She scored 4.96 points in an event held on March 17, at the Dubai Police Officer’s Club Stadium. She won another Gold scoring 4.81 in a competition held on March 12, at the same location.
Farzana is also competing in 4×100 Relay and Long Jump.
Farzana was born in Chipursan Valley, a remote area located near the Pak-Afghan border in the northern Gilgit-Baltistan region.
