GILGIT, January 21: Six passengers were killed on Tuesday when a vehicle skidded off a road in a mountainous area and fell into a ravine, sources said. The vehicle was heading towards Astore, a hilly area that had received heavy snowfall and rains during the weekend’s fresh spell, when it met the accident. The cause of the accident couldn’t be ascertained. Sources said the vehicle might have slipped due to snow on the road.
