Gilgit: A district magistrate in Gilgit sentenced a man* to one month of imprisonment for beating his wife and children.
According to details, a woman* approached the court to complain against her abusive husband. She sought justice, praying that her husband, who is allegedly a drug addict, beats her and their children.
On investigation, the complaints were proven correct. Executive Magistrate Asghar Khan, sentenced the man to a month in prison, saying this much is enough to make the man repent and change his habits.
