These photographs of the dammed Hunza River have been taken by 50 years old Afzal Khan, a community leader and tourism and hospitality management expert. We are grateful to him for sharing the photographs exclusively with Pamir Times. Most of these photographs were taken in the month of December, January and February, during the harsh winters.
The photographs generally depict the difficulties faced by the commuters due to suspension of boat services in Gojal Valley, upper Hunza, and also the conditions which brought the boat service to a halt for almost one month.
