Hunza, September 10: A bullet was found in the office of the Chief Executive of Northern Areas on Monday morning, when he returned to office after holidays.  The bullet has penetrated roof of the office and was found near chair of the Mir Ghazanfar Ali Khan, the chief executive.

The police, after initial investigation, have blamed the aerial firing that took place in Gilgit, near office of the CE, after jubiliant Jiyalas of PPP came out to celebrate Zardari’s presidential election. The CE, however, has said that he was the target of the bullet. The police are further investigating this issue.

Public circles have shown concern about the incident and demanded ensuring security for the man holding highest elected position in Gilgit – Baltistan. Earlier various news channels had telecast misleading news, spreading the impression that the CE had a lucky escape.

  1. I strongly condemn the event and it could be conspiracy of some vested interests, who could not afford the peaceful environment in the region. However, CE himself is leading the area and he should think about, if he himself is not safe, than what will be the situation of the common people?

If it happened because of any personal or political grievances then one should use their pen and mind by using their knowledge and wisdom instead of bullet.

I pray may almighty Allah! save our country from conspiracy and terrorism.

    Thanks and regards
    Sharif Khan

  2. The incident is condemnable. by the way are the pictures displayed above from the site of the incident?

  3. THIS IS A RIDICULOUS ACT COMITED BY THE CRIMINALS…..
THESE FOULISH ACTS CAN CREAT UNSTABILITY IN THE
PEACEFUL REGION, WE FOUND PEACE AFTER MANY TIME,
    I WOULD CONDEM SUCH CRIMES.

  4. Just with a single Bullet picture, it is very difficult to be HERO of A Nation. As, that was explained in the articel itself that some JIYALA has been fired and may be—— I m least sure that hit the place as narrated, in a very good story.

So, for the leadership of NAs it is requirement of time situation to face more bullets, then they ll be able to run the Northern Areas affaires by dint of their own——- with out advice of the NALA Minister—- & KANA HABAB
