The human face on a mosque’s wooden pillar!

Human face on the mosque's pillar

During my recent visit to Gulmit, I went to the “Old House”, in which the Gulmit Carpet Center is also located. A tiny mosque sits on roof of the ‘600’ years old house. On one of the wooden pillars of that lavishly decorated mosque, I located and captured this human face. I can not be certain whether the carpenter crafted this face intentionally, or it is just coincidence.  Noor_.

  3. DEAR ALL,
I M OF THE OPENION THAT DUE TO SEASONAL EFFECTS, THE WOODEN BEAM/COLUMN WARPPED DUE HUMIDITY AND OTHER TEMPERATURE VARIATIONS. WHAT IS THE CROSS VENTILATION OF THE HOUSE, THE DESIGNED SEEMS TO VERY COMMON ON MANY OLD WOODEN STRUCTURES IN NORTHREN AREA. VERY GOOD IDEA TO ASK AKCSP, IF THE COMMUNITY ALLOW TO FIND THE EXACT AGE, WHICH IS VERY COMMON NOW DAYS BY CERTAIN MECANICAL TOOLS.
MY HUMBLE REQUEST TO AKCSP AS WELL TO NOT DEMOLISH OR DISTRUB THE STRUCTURE- AS ALREADY DONE WITH THE HOUSE OF BOBO SUFI IN SOOST. THE CARVING AS I ALREADY SHRARD IS VERY SEEMS VERY COMMON.
GREAT NOOR GREAT, NO DOUBT U ARE A GREAT OBSERVER AS WELL.
