Chinese classes started in Gulmit
Hunza, March 16: The local chapter of Aga Khan Economic Planning Board for Hunza started a one-month Chinese language class at F.G Higher Secondary School Gulmit. About 35 men and women, mostly working with Chinese companies, on KKH expansion project, have registered for the introductory level classes.
Niyat ullah, Sultan Ayub and Ghulam Ali have volunteered their services and expertise to AKEPB. AKEPB has assured to arrange advance classes, in case, the introductory phase is successful.
It is worthy to mention that the Chinese language classes, started in Aliabad and Sost, were closed, before achieving the desired results, due to lack of professional instructors.

A good initiative for the local people, it is the need of the time, especially for the people of Gojal because learning chinese will boost up the business potentials of the community and will enable easy access to chinese market.
this should be continued ahead at higher levels.
We are always thankful to the imamati institutions and the leaders to keeping the community aware and providing opportunities of learning.

Good work, AKEPC and LC Gulmit.
Thanks to all the instructors who have volunteered their time and language skills to share and teach others.
Chinese langauge was a lingua franca in border trade, commerce and business with China for the last two decades, besides being the language of chinese electronic technology and martial arts.
It is now a language of employment with chinese construction companies, many of our students are availing the opportunity to go for higher and techncial studies in china, so it is the langauge of education, training and sports, and in the near future it is going to be the language of tourism and jobs with international organizations.
For the people of GB learning Chinese language is becoming as important as learning English.
the youth and professionals should take full benefit from such programmes.Tthose living in cities and other countries, should also learn Chinese as a ‘survival skill, like ‘martial arts’.
