Khurshid Ahmed Jan, a banker by profession, is an enthusiastic and energetic emerging youth leader of Gilgit – Baltistan. A couple of months back, Khursheed attended the One Young World Conference, held in Switzerland. He is serving as a youth ambassador of the OYW since last year.
Hailing from Punial Tehsil of Ghizar District, Khurshid is a skilled man of vision and passion, who wants to change the society through youth-engagement initiatives. “The objectives of social, cultural and economic development can not be realized by neglecting the youth of Gilgit – Baltistan”, Khurshid said recently while talking to Pamir Times.
Recently Khurshid also attended a three-day event called SERVIR Himalayan Youth Forum, organized in Islamabad. The forum aimed to raise awareness about the issue of climate change that is likely to affect thousands of lives in the mountainous areas of the world.
Khurshid has studied at Aga Khan Higher Secondary School – Gilgit and Punjab University, Lahore, from where he did his MBA in Banking and Finance.
