Birthday of Quaid-e-Azam, Muhammad Ali Jinnah
Today (December 25) Pakistan is celebrating the 135th birth anniversary of its founding father, Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, the charismatic statesman credited with leading the political struggle for creation of Pakistan. He was a foreign qualified lawyer who also served as Pakistan’s first Governor General. He passed away in 1948, one year after the creation of Pakistan. His birth anniversary will also be celebrated officially in Gilgit – Baltistan. Programmes will be held at schools and colleges to pay homage to the man who is considered to be one of the most influential people of the 20th century.
