2 killed, 3 injured in fatal road accident

CHITRAL: Two people were killed and three others injures in a fatal road accident in Garam Chashma region of Chitral District.
According to details, a vehicle plunged into the river on the Garamchashma road, killing two persons and injured three others. Station House Officer (SHO) of Shoghor informed this scribed that a vehicle belonging to the Sarhad Rural Support Programme (SRSP) had a fatal accident while moving from Arkari to Garam Chashma.
Driver of the vehicle, identified as Ihtiramul Haq and one Muhammad Zohaib of Drosh died on the spot while 3 persons of the same NGO were badly injured. The injured were identified as Sajad Elahi of Shams Abad Drosh, Wazir Khan of Garam Chashma and Irshad Ali Shah of Mulkho. The injured persons were immediately rushed to Aga Khan Hospital Shughoor where they are under treatment.
Condition of one injured is said to be critical.
It is pertinent to mention here that the area where road accident occurred is constituency of provincial minister of population welfare Saleem Khan and Garamchishma is his native town. Roads in the region are in a dilapidated condition, demanding attention of the authorities.
