“Illegal appointees will be dismissed from service”: Minister for Works

Gilgit, January 21: Taking notice of illegal appointments in P&W department provincial minister for works Bashir Ahmed Khan said that all employees who had been appointed in violation of rules and merit, under dubious conditions, will be dismissed from their jobs and strict action will also be taken against those who were involved in making illegal appointments.
Talking to media he said that government was keen to eliminate corruption and nepotism from region and all necessary steps were being taken to achieve the goal.
He disclosed that some employees of P&W, instead of serving their departments interests, worked for the interest of contractors.
“Black sheeps in the department will be dealt with iron hand”, he warned. Answering the query about law and order situation in Gilgit he said that every citizen should play its role for peace.
“How can peace prevail in the city if whole society back the activities of terrorists”, he said.
He said that there were no differences between government and bureaucracy and all news in this regard were rumours.
