Official ban imposed on “sectarian transportation system”, 7 member Ulema board to be formed
PT Report
Gilgit, March 31: The government of GB has imposed a ban on sect based transportation system started by two major sects in Gilgit city after the Kohistan Carnage. A 7-member Ulema board has also been formed, comprising of two members each from each sect, Ahl-e-Sunna,t Ahl-e-Tashi, Noor Bakhshian and one Ismaili member, has been formed to resolve the sectarian and other relevant issues.
These announcements were made by Dr. Ali Madad Sher, GB government’s representative, while talking to media after a cabinet meeting.
Talking about culprits of the Kohistan carnage he said that GB Chief Secretary will soon visit Diamer and take the issue with the local Jirga. He informed the press that the culprits have been identified and efforts are underway to arrest them.
Indeed the ban on separate transport route is a good gesture, and also involving the people (sects) yet another good move. But this not the only solution government has to identify who gave the idea of two separate transport systems. What was the idea behind it?
Secondly who they have included in the committee, these so called religious leaders, the ones who deliver abhorrence speeches against each others.
I would request the Government Representative, to form the body with the people who are seriously willing peace in the region, get rid of those who sabotage peace process in the city. Get rid of them who deliver hatred speeches. Involve youth, because only youth has rights to decide their future, let them to decide. Arrange such cultural program to bridge the gap. Educate people about humanity and tolerance.

My dear Respected brothers and sisters of Gilgit-Baltistan !
Assalam o Alaikum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakathahu..!
Let’s bring back the smile to our homeland’s spotless face again…
Let’s pray to the Almighty Allah Subhanahu Wa Tha’allah to bless us with the strength to:
– bring back peace to our Gilgit-Baltistan
– save our beautiful Gilgit-Baltistan from evil’s eyes and take it to the glory of brother and sister-hood, success, prosperity, harmoney, care and patience for each other and true respect for each other.
I believe our people of GB are adorable and full of love, they are tremendous hard workers, they are source of pride to our nation and they can compete any evil on earth with great courage.
My dear people of GB, we need to progress further rather than regression.
Let’s get united again and prove to the world that anyone who has bad intensions against our soil cannot dare to destroy peace of beautiful Gilgit-Baltistan.
Let us forget anything bad that happened in the past and let’s get united again and face the challenges of this era.
Let’s just stay as MUSLIMs, rather human beings of GB with dignity no mater which sect we happen to come from.
Our youth – the future leaders of Gilgit-Baltistan will question us one day as to why we didn’t treat this disease of sectarian hatred on our motherland, why did we result as hinderance to the prosperity, progress and development of Gilgit-Baltistan.
Our forefathers had freed our land with the help of strong faith in Allah, tremendous unity among us, unquestionable trust on each other, strong will power and the tools we had used were only sticks and stones. Today, those stones also question us asking, “We were used for freedom but were not meant to be coloured with the blood of those who had got birth on us”.
After leaving Gilgit-Baltistan at the age of 14 years, spending my over 30 years away, I was blessed by Allah with fotune to serve my people of all 7 districts of Gilgit-Baltistan for over a year’s time. I was proud to find every individual so wholeheartedly welcoming me, soo much supportive, so caring whether i was in the beautiful valleys of Tangir, Darel, Hisper, Frano, Hundur, Khiner, Niat, Chillas, Aliabad Shud, Doekar, Shimshal, Chipursan, Sikandarabad, Astore, Chalt, Baseen Khari, Ampari…you name any village, I carry sweet memories of all my brave and honest people of Gilgit-Baltistan with me back to the centre of our lovely Country Pakistan.
OH BROTHERS AND SISTERS OF GB..!!!
LET US LIVE AS BROTHERS AND SISTERS AGAIN….AND BRING BACK OUR HISTORICAL BROTHERHOOD, UNITY, HARMONEY AND LOVE AND CARE FOR EACH OTHER IN GILGIT-BALTISTAN again.
May Allah bless us all with never-ending peace in on our motherland Gilgit-Baltistan and our beloved Country Pakistan. Aameen
