Release Baba Jan, PTI demands

Lahore, May 10: Detention and torture of a human rights and political activist is a violation of fundamental rights. Pakistan Tehreek Insaf (PTI) condemns the alleged torture of Baba Jan Hunzai and his fellow activists of the Progressive Youth Front in Gilgit jail and demands release of the political prisoners.
These views were expressed by PTI Secretary General, Awab Alvi, while talking to Farooq Tariq of the Pakistan Labour Party, a report on the PTI website stated.
The PTI leader, reportedly, also pledged all out support for a global petition that has been signed by renowned global activists and scholars like Noam Chomsky and Tariq Ali, among others.
The barbaric attitude of the Gilgit Baltistan Govt, police and Aaddministratn remained particularly with the people of Hunza has become a history. This shamful action against the political activists is highlly condamnable and should be investigated. Why the so called international human rights organizations are silient over this inhuman act . We talk about Palastine, Kashmir and Rawanda but why we are so biased on such barberic action of police at our own country. Shame on us.
