Pakistan Resolution Day observed under auspices of PRCS and Gilgit Union of Journalists
Gilgit, March 23: The Gilgit Union of Journalists in collaboration with the Pakistan Red Crescent Society Gilgit-baltistan (PRCS) and Green Development and Welfare Organization (GDWO) observed the Resolution of Pakistan Day with great zeal and zest by organizing a function in Press Club Gilgit on Saturday. Adviser tourism, sports,culture,youth affairs and women development Sadia Danish was chief guest while the Chairman PRCS Asif Hussain, Regional Coordinator of GDWO Munir Ahmed Johar along with journalists and volunteers of PRCS attended the function.
Speaking at the event Sadia Danish paid rich tributes to the heroes of the Pakistan Movement and their contributions for the independence of Pakistan. She also appreciated the efforts and humanitarian services of PRCS in eliminating sufferings of the most vulnerable segments of Gilgit-Baltistan during disasters and normal situations and assured to discuss the challenges faced by the PRCS with the Chief Minister GB.
PRCS being largest humanitarian organization of the country playing its role as oxilary to the government in humanitarian services following the seven fundamental principles of the Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement” said Asif Hussain in his speech. He urged that the federal government and PRCS national head quarters should immediately release financial grants to continue its operational activities in disaster pron areas of GB.
President Gilgit Union of Journalists Tariq Hussain Shah and senior Journalists Israr Ud Din Israr, Munir Ahmed Johar, Tahir Rana and Safdar Ali Safdar also addressed to the function. While PRCS volunteers sang mili nagmas and received appreciations from the audience.
