Kharmang becomes the ninth district of Gilgit-Baltistan

Gilgit, March 23: Chief Minister Syed Mehdi Mehdi Shah today announced the formation of Kharmang District in the Baltistan region. He mad the announcement in front of a huge gathering of people belonging to different parts of the region.
Speaking at the occasion the chief minister said that all relevant government officials will be deputed in the newly formed distrit to ensure delievery of services to the publice at their door step.
Kharmang is one of the remotest areas of Gilgit-Baltistan, bordering with Kargil.
we r thamkfull to chief minister as well as ppp govt to take such initiative steps in baltistan.we hope inshallah he will do his better in this regard.
i congratulate all kharmangis for their bright future because this step will safgard their interst as well as thier right.
