Gulmit Noyoft Ondra FC wins GPL 2013

Gojal, August 13: Gulmit Noyoft Ondra Football Club won the final match of Gulmit Premier League 2013, defeating Gulmit Tigers, 2-0, in a very interesting match witnessed by tens of hundreds of football lovers, including women and children. The tournament was organized by Gulmit Young Stars Club.

In the final match Saqib Jafar and Raza Baig scored one goal each for Noyoft Ondra, while the Gulmit Tigers could not score a goal. Saqib Jafar of Noyoft Ondra was declared man of the match.

The prize distribution ceremony was attended by notables from the region, including MLA Mutabiat Shah, noted intellectual and poet Nazir Ahmed Bulbul, Ghulam Rasul, Col (r) Sher Khan and Rasheed Ahmed, Chairman of Mountain Area Support Organization (MASO). Speaking at the occasion they appreciated the organizers and players for staging a wonderful sports event. They also pledged assistance for the cause of healthy living, in cash and kind.

The tournament had started ten days ago. 16 Teams competed and the final was played today amid pomp and show.
