Gilgit, February 20: Elections in Gilgit-Baltistan will be held in accordance with the law and after mutual consensus. Those giving statements in newspapers about the dates of the elections need not to speculate. Elections will not be held according to their wishes.

This was stated by GB Chief Minister, Syed Mehdi Shah, today while talking to a delegation at his office.

The CM rubbished claims of critics that PPP will lose majority in the upcoming elections. “We are not afraid of elections”, he said. Shah also said that even today people of Gilgit-Baltistan are ready to sacrifice everything for Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto and his party.

It is pertinent to note that despite of being in government PPP has not been able to win bi-elections in the region last year.
