Gilgit: Newspaper staff trained in designing, composing and photography
Gilgit, March 9: (PR) The two days technical training for 14 technical staff at different newspapers of Gilgit Baltsiatn has been closed yesterday at Gilgit. The participants went through a technical training on designing , composing and photography, designed and conducted by Area of Innovative and Gilgit Baltistan Arts Academy.
On the concluding day certificate distribution ceremony was held, in which Deputy Director Information Department, Farooq Ahmed Khan was the chief guest, accompanied by Chairman HEDI Asst. Prof Sultan Ahmed and Chairman AIM Piyar Ali Sagi.
Speaking at the occasion, Farooq said that media training has been a neglected area. He appreciated AIM for taking the initiative. He said that “all the credit goes to chairman AIM for launching an infant org for media practices”. He guided the team to design more training for media persons in collaboration with the government. He ensured AIM team for advocacy with government in all matters, legal and for Youth Times magazine, conceptualized by AIM.
Earlier, AIM Chairman in his speech emphasized for institutional practices necessary in Gilgit Baltsitan for human resource generation with skills development. He said that AIM is rightly doing in line with their vision and mission and issues like linkages have been highlighted with the information department in charge.
The consultants Mr Sultan Ahmed and Rahim Khan encouraged AIM team on their initiatives, particularly on deprived segment of the society media technical persons. In experience sharing phase the participants shared development in their learning thorugh this training, in interviews they showed this training totally new for them, and emphasized to continue in past for further development. At the end certificates distributed among the participants by chief guest.
