[Vacancy] Snow Leopard Foundation needs Conservation Officer for Gilgit
The Snow Leopard Foundation (SLF) is a non-profit organization that aims to conserve viable population of snow leopards and other carnivores as an integral part of landscapes across Pakistan while, improving the socio-economic conditions of the people, who share the fragile mountain ecosystem with carnivores.
To manage its community based conservation programs, SLF requires a Conservation Officer for the Program Office, Gilgit.
Qualification/Experience:
The applicant must hold university degree in social sciences and have at least 2 years of relevant professional experience.
Skill/Competencies:
Community mobilization and organization skills are pre-requisite for the position.
Knowledge of livestock management system and associated issues in the mountain regions will be considered an asset.
Good report writing and communication skills (fluency to speak English and local languages).
Computer literacy (MS office, Inpage, Internet) and familiarity with data management and analysis is essential.
