Gilgit: PEMRA officials seal 3 illegally operated cable tv networks
Gilgit: PEMRA G-B has sealed three illegal CTV networks namely Shah Cable Network Bargo Ba’ala, Abdar Cable Network Bargo Paiin and Shah Cable Network Sharot for illegally operating the buisiness of broadcast media in the region.
The PEMRA team headed by Inspector Haider Abbas and Inspector Imdad Hussain alongwith city magistrates Chirag Uddin and Gaib Ali Shah and Police crew Sharot Thana raided early this morning and sealed all three cable networks which were operating their systems without getting any prior liscence form the Competent Authority.
PEMRA had been informing those operators to avail their liscence but said operators refused to obey the rule of law. PEMRA GB has warned all illegal and defaulter CTV operators to get their liscence and renew their liscence as soon as possible or else strict action will be carried out against them.
