Gilgit: Court gives four days physical remand of education dept officials to FIA

Gilgit, July 17: A court in Gilgit today handed over five employees of the Education Department, including former Director Planning Muhammad Abdeen and Principal College of Education, Syed Nabi Shah, to the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) on a four-day physical remand.
According to details, FIA presented the accused in the Court today, acting on FIR # 26/2014. The efforts to bail out all the accused were not entertained by the Court.
However, two former employees Najm-us-Sabbah and Attaullah Baig had their bail pleas accepted by the session court.
Advocate Shehbaz, Advocate Ehsan Ali and Advocate Basharat Ali are representing the accused in the case, which has reportedly been registered by FIA on the request of Finance Minister Muhammad Ali Akhtar.
The other arrested officials include Abdul Mateen and Contractor Salam Jan.
The arrested five will be presented in the court again on 20th of July, according to court orders.
