Chitral: 350 patients examined in free surgical camp organized by FIF, a JuD affiliate

Chitral, November 5: Around 350 patients were examined during a Free Surgical Camp held at Tehsil Headquarters hospital Drosh some 45 KM from here. The free surgical camp was organized by Falahi Insaniyat Foundation FIF ( a branch of Jamat-e- Dawa) under the supervision of Assistant Professor Dr. Muhammad Ayub of Services Hospital Lahore.

Talking to this scribe Dr. Ayub said that they conducted 30 free operations of poor patients of the area. He said that most of the patients had Hernia and kidney related problems.

Abu Haroon Amir of FIF Chitral, Dir upper, Dir lower, Bajawar and Malakand said that they regularly arrange this free surgical camp every year for free surgery of poor patients at Chitral and other backward areas.

A Local patient belonging to Ashriat valley told this scribe that his pregnant wife was in critical condition and that she Dr. Ayub and his team had operated her successfully. Dr. Ayub announced that they will establish/open a free dispensary at Chitral by deploying a qualified doctor and paramedic staff to serve the needy patients.

Local people of the area revealed that there is no surgeon in THQ hospital Drosh and they mostly travel to Chitral town or Peshawar hospital for operation and other cases.

Residents of Drosh area appreciated FIF for organizing this free surgical camp at Drosh where there is no surgical specialist.
