Pakistan ski team leaves for Korea

ISLAMABAD : Five-member Pakistan ski team left for Korea to participate in the Asian Alpine Ski Championship. Interestingly, all the players belong to Gilgit-Baltistan, which is considered to be home of skiing in the country.

The team comprises two girls Amina Walli and Fatima Sohail, Olympian M Karim (captain) Mir Nawaz Jr. Flight Lt M Faraz is coach whereas Air Commodore Mussarat Ali, secretary, will join the team in Korea.

SFP officials Obaid-ur-Rehman Abbasi and Wing Commander (r) Javed Iqbal saw off the team which will return home on March 5.
Obaid said both male players were highly experience and it was expected they would perform well.
