Earthquake Aftermath: Women, children and the elderly among the worst sufferers in Phandar Valley, Ghizar
8 years ago
The resilient people of Phandar Valley have survived the magnitude 7.5 earthquake, but time is running fast, and the cruel winters are approaching. Already, during the nights, the temperature falls down below zero degree centigrade, sending chill through the picturesque valleys, surrounded by lofty snow-clad peaks and huge mountains. The tents and food provided so far to the survivors are not enough, neither in quality, nor in quantity. Much more needs to be done. Photographs for Pamir Times by Farman Karim Baig
