The district officials have agreed that the cutoff timing for Gilgit bound traffic will be 6 pm from Barowai (26 KM upstream of Naran). And for Islamabad bound traffic the cutoff time will be 5 pm at Zero Point (KKH), near Chilas. Foreigners will be allowed to travel on this route but they will adhere to the timings.

In case of emergency, for ambulances and transportation of dead bodies, the timings will be relaxed and special security arrangements will be made. A VHFset will be established between police departments of the two neighboring districts will be established to improve communication.
