Murder convict from Gilgit hanged in Adiala jail

Rawalpindi: Naveed Hussain from Bargo village of Gilgit District was hanged to death early this morning in the Rawalpindi Central Jail.

He had been found guilty and convicted for the murder of Jamshed Jadoon, an Anti Terrorism Court judge. The judge was jogging in City Park Gilgit in the year 2006 when he was shot and killed.

Naveed and sentenced to death by an anti-terrorism court. The President of Pakistan rejected his pardon plea recently, after which his black warrant was issued on 4th January. He was hanged this morning.

On his last day the convict spent time with his close family members.
