Search for two boys drowned in Shyok River enters third day

Ghanche: Locals unsuccessfully continued searching for two boys who had drowned in the Shyok River in Ghanche District of Gilgit-Baltistan. Rescue 1122 officials didn’t take part in the rescue operations because they do not have trained and expert divers.

According to details, two young men drowned in the Shyok River while swimming. Two days of search have yielded no positive results. Locals have urged the authorities to expedite the search and rescue operations, and equip the Rescue 1122 teams to deal with such situations in the future.
