9th grader ‘commits suicide’ in Skardu after elder brother scolds him for getting less marks in a test

Gilgit: A 9th grader in Skardu today allegedly committed suicide after he was scolded by his elder brother for getting less marks in a monthly test.
Station House Officer Ghulam Ali has told the media that the elder brother reportedly scolded the 9th grader for getting less marks in a monthly test. “You should have died instead of getting less marks”, the elder brother allegedly told him.
The dishearted youngster took the words of his brother literally, and hanged himself from a fan inside his house.
Police has registered a case and started investigation to ascertain the facts. Meanwhile, the boy’s body was handed over to his family after autopsy.
